Tilda won the egg hunt!

I can't believe Spring Break is almost over!  I wish it wasn't; I really enjoy having the kids home!  We took advantage of their rare free time and headed to the mall for a few hours today.  It was so nice to see the snow starting to melt, maybe spring really will arrive before summer!

Now that my order of the newest Magnolia Butterfly Dreams has arrived, I am dying to ink them up!  While I was waiting, I played with the stamps from the quarterly kit.  I just love all of the stamps from this one, they are adorable!

I've paired up Tilda Holding Egg Basket with some papers from Three Bugs in a Rug.  I've added just a touch of bling on the bow.

Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - sketch
Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog - Easter (from the photo inspiration)
Just Magnolia - Bingo (ribbon, flowers, gem)

On a side note, if you play along at Paper Sundaes, you should check out this week's winner's post that went up yesterday.  It has last week's winner, plus redraws from both of the previous two weeks.

Summery Sweet Kiki - DT card

Even though we still have a ton of snow on the ground, I couldn't resist using this Sweet Kiki La Rue for this week's Paper Sundaes photo inspiration challenge, sponsored by Michelle's Scrapbooking.

I'm not used to colouring with such bright colours!  :)

I've paired Kiki up with some older papers from my stash by Cosmo Cricket, and some Kaisercraft pearls.  I was really in a Clean and Simple mood tonight!

You can hear the wind whistling

My blog has been so quiet!  First we were out of town, and now illness has set in at my household!  First my hubby came down with a cold, now my daughter with a flu or something, and then tonight I realized that I think I'm catching it too... no fun!  I apologize for not being around to visit, hopefully by next week  things will get settled and everyone will feel better!

I've used 'Will You Be My Valentine' Tilda from the 'You are So Special' Magnolia release.  The sentiment is popped up, and I have used some lace trim behind the scalloped circle.

Time is flying by!

Time is hopping by!  Just a few more days and then we are on the road for my kids' Provincials meet down in 'Cow-town'.  I'm so excited, but stressed as I am still figuring out what to do with our dog for the first day.  Still two possibilities, hopefully we will have something figured out by tonight.  Then, my wonderful cousin is coming over to house and puppy sit, isn't she sweet?!  Speaking of sweet, I am going to link up a brownie recipe at the bottom of this post if you are needing chocolate this week like I have been!

My dear friend Shana came over this weekend and let me stamp her Magnolia spring kit.  Spring may be nowhere in sight here, but at least I can pretend, now!  I just had to use her Tilda With Bunny to make a card today while the laundry is in.

Sorry, the colour seems a bit dark in that photo!  I've used some of my precious Wild Orchid flowers and a bling swirl from my stash to go with these American Crafts papers from last Easter and my PTI ribbon.

Is spring here yet?

This week at Paper Sundaes we are challenging you to use stripes on your creations.  I thought that if I made a really 'Spring-like' card, maybe spring would arrive sometime before July?  Fingers crossed!

If you've been wondering why my blog has been so quiet, I have been quite busy with non-paper crafting things.  Let's see... in the last few days I've edited 120+ photos for my kids' sports team, baked 4 dozen cupcakes for a cancer fundraiser... Oh I wish I had taken a photo of the cupcakes, half of them were topped with a marshmallow meringue that I used my Heat Gun to toast.  How's that for creative?  LOL... no way was I going to use a torch, I'd burn the house down!

Our sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks!  If her stamps seem very familiar, that is because she also designs for Stamping Bella.  Christy very kindly provided our DT with a digi of our choice to play with, and I chose this cute Spring HuggABugg.

I wish I could play along, Christy is providing this week's winner with a $15 gift certificate!

Challenges:
Friday Sketchers - sketch layout (left out the ribbon, hope that's okay!)
Creative Inspirations - In the Garden
Delightful Challenges - Welcome Spring
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - Green (comment)
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Dandelion Clock in pink

After a very busy but exciting weekend, I'm starting to get back into the groove and getting caught up!  Phew!  My son had a big sports event on the weekend, and he did so well.  It's always heartwarming to see your child work so hard for something, and then pull it all together!

I fell in love with the last Lili of the Valley release, and just couldn't resist this little girl called Dandelion Clock.  I've paired her up with the Fine & Dandy line from My Mind's Eye.

Her wings are dusted with Dazzling Diamonds and I've attached a butterfly charm from my stash just to follow along with the spring tone of the card.  I really wish spring would arrive!  I can't take much more snow and -20's temperatures!
