Christmas in July with Paper Sundaes

This week at Paper Sundaes, we've gone with a theme of Christmas in July.  What a great time to get ahead on this year's Christmas cards!

This poor Tilda Wants A Hug from last fall's Magnolia kit had yet to be inked up, so I decided to use her for my card this week.  I've paired her up with one of my favourite Christmas papers by The Girls Paperie.  It almost killed me to cut into it!

I decided to play around some more with the folds technique I tried the other day, but in red this time.  It's always fun working with reds!

Be sure to stop by our challenge blog and check out all of the amazing inspiration from my teammates!

Hi Christine, wow hun what a lovely card!! The pleats on the dress are brilliant!! I just gave it a try myself but I'm not nearly as good as you. Well practise makes progress or so they say, I'll just have to stick with it I guess!! Hugs, Frea

Hi Christine!

I love this card of yours. The DP's are beautiful. I love your gorgeous ribbon.
Your coloring of Tilda is one of the nicest I have seen. Your pleats are perfect. It makes her dress look like velvet. A big pat on the back for you.
Hugs Maz

Oh i just love that colouring. You make it sound like red is easy to colour with. But we all know that it takes talent to get reds blending right. Fabulous job! hugs jenny b x

Ooohhh ... what a pretty card! Love the coloring ... and the papers are BEAUTIFUL!!! I love clean and simple cards like this ~ really showcases Tilda and makes you notice her rather than all the embellishments.
