Bonnie the Beautiful

Today was my last day of the month to create a card for Paper Jewels DT blog, and I decided to feature a Spesch image.  This beautiful girl is named Bonnie.  I paired her with some papers from My Mind's Eye called Lush, and some flowers by Wild Orchid.  She is colored primarily with Copics, with shading done in Prismacolor pencils and also a bit of chalks.

I am entering her into a few challenges:
Friday Sketchers:  Sketch
Stamp Something:  Vintage with Flowers
Papertake Weekly:  In Stitches

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are having a beautiful summer!

DT card- Paper Sundaes Challenge #24

This week Paper Sundaes is sponsored by Wags 'n Whiskers, who has just come out with the most adorable birthday digi stamps!  To coincide with this, Paper Sundaes has set the challenge as 'Birthdays!'

I used two of them on my card today:

This little boy and the tiger seemed like a perfect circus pair, but they also look perfect by themselves, as you can see on Paper Sundaes in the other DT cards!  The stairs were scored and folded, and the tiger's pedestal was free-handed, as I'm sure you can tell!  lol  This card has lots of dimension in real life... the boy is popped up, and the stairs are popped up in 3 different depths.

The sketch is from the current challenge at Friday Sketchers.

Well, I'm off to bed, it's already 2:15 in the morning!  Have a great Sunday!

Sweet Kiki and her yummy mint-chocolate chip!

Good morning!  Today is Wednesday, and that means it's my day to post a card for Paper Jewels!

For my card today, I decided to use Sweet Kiki La Rue, which you can find in Jenny's store here.  I think she is going to be another Teacher thank you card!  I only have two more days to finish them and get their gifts, I need to clone myself!  :D

For my card today, I used the current sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge Blog.  I did rotate the sketch and image.  The papers are brand new, by a company I've never heard of before called Echo Park Paper Co.  For the color scheme, I used the photo inspiration from The Diedrich Dare.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully life will calm down soon and I can find more time to get into my craft room!

A Froggy Thank You

Yet another Teacher's thank you card done, I might finish in time!

If you've missed the big announcement over at Paper Jewels, they now carry Spesch Stamps in rubber!  They are the exclusive Canadian retailer of them!  Jenny has 5 different Spesch stamps in stock, with more to come.

For my Paper Jewels Design Team card today, I used the super cute 'Frolle Frog with Flower' by Bildmalarna.  It's colored in copics, which I haven't used in a while!

I used the new sketch over at Card Patterns.  The papers are by 'My Little Shoebox'.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #22- a sketch!

Another Sunday, only 2 more weeks of school!  And another Sunday means another Paper Sundaes Challenge!  This week, the challenge is a sketch.  I decided to get ahead and get my dear husband's birthday card done!

For my card I used C.C. Designs Sugarplums Balloon Trevor.  I used some old My Mind's Eye papers from my stash, and paper pieced Trevor's pants, shirt and balloon.  I hope you will join us for this week's Paper Sundaes challenge!

Yummy Sweet Kiki La Rue

Finally, a card!  If it isn't one thing, it's another these days.  I'm looking forward to some nice, uneventful days this summer.

Less than 3 weeks until the end of the school year, I guess it's time to finish up Teacher appreciation cards, and figure out their gifts.  For my Paper Jewels DT card today, Sweet Kiki La Rue was calling me to use her on a fun card for one of my children's teachers.  Her dripping ice cream cone makes me dream of hot summer days spent just chilling out.

Sorry for the angled photo, I was getting major glare off of the ribbon straight on!

For more inspiration, check out the Paper Jewels Stamps blog, and while you're there be sure to enter to win Jenny's yummy candy!!  For every 50 entrants she will add something to the prize.

I am entering this card into several challenges:

Sketch and Stash Challenge:  sketch
Stampin' For the Weekend:  Summer
A Spoonfull of Sugar:  Floral Delights
Charisma Cardz:  flowers
Creative Card Crew:  Thank you

Nora on a Swing!

Good morning!!  It is definitely a good morning here... the snow has melted again, and it looks like we might even get a bit of sun!

June is my month to post samples for the Paper Jewels Stamps blog, and it's always such a tough choice picking what stamp to use!  For today's card I decided to use CC Design's Nora on a Swing.

This is headed to one of my children's teachers, wishing them a nice relaxing summer... by now, I'm sure they need to relax!

Oh, I just wanted to add, if you're in Canada like me, and find it impossible to buy Memento Ink, Jenny has it in her store!  My old pad was shedding little bits of fiber onto my clear stamps, so I ordered 2 from Jenny and had them in my hands in 3 days!

I am entering this card into the Summer challenge at Everybody Art Challenge Blog and the Here Comes the Sun challenge at SRM Stickers.  I am also entering it into Papertake Weekly's Fun Fun Fun challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!
