Paper Sundaes Challenge #11 DT card

Good morning!  Today is the start of challenge #11 at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is sponsored by Paper Jewels, and is a photo inspiration challenge.  Paper Jewels recently started carrying Sweet Pea stamps, which are so gorgeous!  The winner will receive two Sweet Pea stamps of their choice.

My card this week uses a Sweet Pea image called Dance of the Butterfly.

I hope you will stop by Paper Sundaes this week and play along with us!

I used the current sketch from Card Patterns Challenge Blog.  I am also entering this into the Heart challenge at Totally Gorjuss, and into the Copic Creations anniversary to use your choice of featured technique (skin tones)

One of my Favorite stamps, ever!

Belles 'n Whistles Cupcake stamp is just so adorable, I just had to use her for a card this week!  I used a piece of the new Crate Paper DP's, some of my precious Wild Orchid flowers, and away I went!

The blues in real life match much better than in this photo!!

The layout is from the current challenge at The Pink Elephant.  The edges of the oval are distressed, so this should also qualify for the challenge at Stamp Something.  Lastly, at Quirky Crafts Challenges, their current challenge is to use flowers.

Tonight my family had a reminder about what is truly important in life, so tomorrow, give your kids or spouse an extra hug or a kiss, and don't let the little things get you down!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #10 DT card

Hi!  Today is the start of the 10th weekly challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!  This week we are welcoming a new DT member, Jenny, so please be sure to stop by her blog and leave her some love!!  We have a fantastic new monthly sponsor this week- Simon Says Stamp!

Our challenge this week is to use paper piecing on your card or project!  For my card today, I have pieced one of our new Hanglar & Stanglar stamps that Shana and I managed to get from overseas.

Her dress, headband, and all of the hearts were paper pieced using the new Kioshi papers from Basic Grey.  She is colored with copics.  For her skin tones, I used the caucasian skin tone tutorials and for her hair, I used one of the Brunette hair tutorials from Copic Creations Challenge blog, but I definitely need to practice this some more!!  The layout is from the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.

I am entering this card into the above challenges plus the following:  Basic Grey Challenges-  Tutti Frutti and also Pile it On #10- Pastel Colors.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you join us this week for our challenge at Paper Sundaes!

Where DO your Belles 'n Whistles stamps live?!

Over at the Belles 'n Whistles blog, this is the question they have asked of us.  Where do my Belles 'n Whistles stamps live?  Next to my collection of buttons and flowers, of course!  What girl wouldn't want to live next to such pretty things?!

I can't wait to see the new releases!!  My girls need some new neighbors, preferably ones that keep a cleaner house ;)  Maybe they'll share some tips :D

Another boys birthday card!

2 in one month, I'm on a roll!

Today I made a card using some super cute new papers by Imaginisce and one of their matching stamps.  These papers are adorable, with a robot and music theme.  I used the current sketch from Card Positioning Systems.  Here is my card:

Considering my time limitations (I had 15 minutes to make it!) I think it turned out decently :)  The inside is decorated too, but I didn't get the photos taken before I wrote in it, so I'm not going to show the inside!  I thought this image was great for a little Rock Band fan!  :)

I am also entering this card into the For the Boys challenge at Crafty Catz and the Male Card challenge at Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog

Happy St. Patty's Day!

This post is going up so much later than I had planned today!  I hope everyone had a good St. Patty's Day!

My card today is for the current challenge over at All That Scraps Wednesday's Challenge to make an easel card.  I have used the current sketch from Card Patterns Challenge Blog, and some brand new papers by My Little Shoebox, I just love them!!

The stamps are by CC Designs at All That Scraps, Sugar Plums Spring Emma and Sugar Plums Stump.  They are colored with Prismacolors with OMS, and the blue sky is done with chalk.  Such a spring look with that dp and colors, perfect for the Spring theme at The Pink Elephant this week!

I am also entering this into the Splash of Green challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog- she has a green shirt, socks, the green strip of paper, and some green in the other DP's.

So excited!

I had mentioned to my good friend Shana a while back that I really liked Hanglar & Stanglar stamps but that you can't buy them here.  Well, Shana is always up for a good challenge, and so she was determined to find a way to get us some H&S stamps!  Finally, she figured out that her neighbors grandmother's cousin lives in Norway, and away she went!  After a month of trials and tribulations, we finally got the order to go through, and 2 weeks later, our stamps arrived!!  The extra month delay worked in our favour, too, since HS put out a new release during that time!!  I used one of the new releases to make a Thank you card for the kind Norwegian cousin who put her money on the line to buy these for us, complete strangers!

I used the current sketch layout from Sketch Saturday.  I dipped into my flowers from Wild Orchid for the first time, even though it almost killed me to use them ;)  They are just so pretty!

I am also entering this card into two other challenges: Stampin' For the Weekend- Monochromatic (Pinks, plus the cream as a neutral) & Pile it On- Pastel colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #9 DT card

Today is the start of our 9th challenge at Paper Sundaes challenge blog!  The challenge this week is to create a multi-fold Easter card, or spring if you don't celebrate Easter.  For my card, I used one of my no longer missing Pure Innocence stamps!!  I found them!  I had only looked in that particular place at least 5 times!!  Argh... ah well, at least they turned up!

For the multi-fold option, I decided to create an Easel card.

The stamp is called Pure Innocence - My Basket of Eggs from My Favorite Things.

The layout for this card is from the current challenge at Simon Says Stamp challenge blog.  I am also entering this into the Celebration challenge at Cute Card Thursday, in celebration of Easter!  Over at The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge, the current challenge is Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenge #19

I am also entering this card into the masculine challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

Since it's the middle of the night here, I'm keeping this short and sweet!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Pure Innocence!

Can you tell how much I'm loving the Pure Innocence stamps?  Unfortunately, I seem to have lost 2, argh!!  :(

For my card today, I used Umbrella Girl, and the MFT sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers for the layout.  I did rotate the sketch :)

I am entering this into the last Blogaversary challenge at Joanne's blog, Stamped by Hand, to use folded or pleated paper.  I am also entering this card into the Dots and Stripes challenge at All That Scraps Wednesday's Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
