I have 2 cards for you today! The first uses a new Tilda from the Winter & Christmas 2009 kit.
Tilda's hand is cut out and paper pieced to hang from the ribbon. She is coloured with Tim Holtz Distress inks, as are the paper flower and silk flower. I just love this Valentine sentiment, you can find it at Magnolia-licious here! The pink stripe paper is pleated. If you want to see how to do this, check out the tutorial by Mina over at Just Magnolia!
I am entering this card into several challenges, including Just Magnolia (paper pleating), Embellish Magazine (Pink, Red & Black), Roses on Paper (favorite medium), Cute Card Thursday (new- previously un-inked stamp), The Diedrich Dare colour inspiration, ABC Challenge (L is for Layering) and Etsy Inspired (Skylar's Candy Clips- for this clip here).
My second card uses one of the cute Miss Anya Dressy stamps from The Greeting Farm.
Miss Anya was die cut with a Nestie using the pull out technique. The lace doily punch is from Martha Stewart. For this challenge I used the current sketch over at Mercy's blog. I am also entering this into a couple of other challenges, including Belli Challenge #82 Glitter or Rhinestones, A Spoon Full of Sugar (hearts), Incy Wincy Designs bling it up challenge, and Everybody-Art's favorite color combo, which I'm sure you can tell by these 2 cards, is red & pink! :)
Ooh, and if you made it this far through my post, I shouldn't forget my blog candy, should I? I am giving away a brand new Sugar Nellie Blossom stamp as seen here.
All you need to do is 1. become a follower (unless you already are, of course!) and 2. leave a comment on this post. I will draw a winner on January 17th, to celebrate the launch of our Paper Sundaes Challenge blog. The winner will have 3 days to contact me, or I will have to redraw!
For the next stop on our blog hop, you need to head over to my wonderful friend Shana and leave her lots of love, she always makes beautiful cards! If you get lost along the way, you should head back to Paper Sundaes to see the master list.
I hope you can join us for our first challenge, starting January 17th!
